Toby Gad to headline global livestream concert from The Shard with star guests

Tomorrow – 15th July – internationally renowned songwriter and producer Toby Gad will headline a one-night-only livestream concert from The View from The Shard, one of London’s most iconic landmarks. The event, titled Toby Gad: Live at Sunset with Special Guests, will be broadcast globally via Lounges.tv and marks the launch of a new series hosted at the venue.
The concert will take place from 7 till 10.30pm and will feature a piano-led performance by Gad, accompanied by the Morassi String Quartet. The evening’s line-up includes guest appearances from artists such as Paloma Faith, Megan McKenna, Victoria Canal, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Dionne Bromfield and Victor Ray. Following guest arrivals, there will be a music-themed tour of the London skyline led by a cultural expert, after which, performances by Gad and his guests will take place in two segments, before and after a sunset intermission. In addition to live music, the event includes artist interviews and behind-the-scenes content for online viewers.
Diamond-certified, Grammy award-winning producer Gad is best known for writing hit songs including John Legend’s All of Me, Beyoncé’s If I Were a Boy and Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry. During the livestream, he will perform his latest single, Run (Piano Diaries), a previously unreleased collaboration with the late Donna Summer. The track was recorded during sessions for Summer’s Crayons album and has been released posthumously with the support of her family.
This event at The View from The Shard is part of a broader initiative to reimagine the skyscraper as a cultural venue, incorporating live music, film and art into its programming. Speaking ahead of the event, organisers said the performance offers a unique opportunity to experience live music “from the highest stage in London, with panoramic skyline views”, with fans tuning worldwide via the live stream.
