Humble Grape launches August wine tastings across London for beginners and enthusiasts

Humble Grape is hosting a series of wine tasting events across its venues this August, aimed at both novices and enthusiasts seeking to expand their knowledge in an informal setting. The London-based wine bar group will hold events at a number of its locations, including Canary Wharf, Crouch End, Liverpool Street and Battersea, each designed to offer an accessible introduction to appreciating the drink. The tastings are scheduled throughout the month and include two distinct formats: a beginner-friendly session focusing on summer wines and a more in-depth exploration of Californian vintages.
The first event – Wine 101: Blush & Chilled Summer Wines – is a 45-minute session, priced at £22, that takes place at the Canary Wharf location on Monday 18th August and at the Crouch End venue on Wednesday 20th August. Attendees will sample four seasonal offerings, including rosé and white varieties in an easy-going introduction to wine tasting, and all participants will receive a £20 voucher to spend at any Humble Grape bar following the session.
For those interested in a more comprehensive experience, the World of Wine Tasting: California offers a two-hour guided session for £64 that features six wines from various Californian regions, along with a welcome drink. According to Humble Grape, the tasting will provide “fascinating insights” into the wines and the stories behind them, led by the company’s expert sommeliers. This will take place on Tuesday 26th August at the Liverpool Street bar, Wednesday 27th August in Crouch End and Thursday 28th August in Battersea.
Humble Grape has built a reputation for its relaxed approach to wine education, aiming to strip away the formality often associated with wine tasting. The tasting series this summer provides opportunities for socialising as well as learning, and are open to participants regardless of prior knowledge.
