Dom Epoque Hotel Roma debuts contemporary Roman-inspired tasting menus at Verve restaurant

Dom Epoque Hotel Roma, a boutique property located on Via Giulia in the heart of Rome, has unveiled a new seasonal menu at its in-house restaurant, Verve. The updated culinary experience, launched on 30th July, has been developed by executive chef Adriano Magnoli and pastry chef Antonella Mascolo and aims to reinterpret traditional Roman cuisine through a contemporary lens, combining local ingredients with modern techniques and international influences.

The menu is centred around the Italian tradition of fire-cooked meals, with a focus on seasonality and presentation. Magnoli, who has worked in kitchens in Miami and London, and Mascolo, who has honed her pastry skills in several Roman establishments, bring over 15 years of combined experience in Michelin-starred environments. According to the hotel, their approach is shaped by their shared passion for travel and local produce, resulting in dishes that are intended to reflect both place and personal memory.

Verve’s updated tasting selection includes offerings such as Artichoke Roman-style with Vignarola, Cheese and Pepper-stuffed Gnocchi with Chard and Fermented Lemon, Roasted Pork with Carbonara Sauce and a Maritozzo Brioche dessert served with seasonal ice cream. Patrons can choose between two curated tasting experiences: the four-course Fate Vobis, priced at €60 per person, and the six-course Famo Nobis for €80 per person (the latter must be ordered by the entire table to encourage shared dining).

In addition to the set menus, Verve has an à la carte selection with a minimum of two courses per person. Options include starters such as Beans with Cuttlefish Codes and Aubergine Strudel, pasta dishes like Crispy Ravioli with Smoked Potato and Mussels, and mains including Catch of the Day with Mediterranean Garnishes or Lamb with Melted Cheese and Country Salad.

The hotel’s rooftop terrace, which reopened at the end of May, also plays a role during the warmer months. Overlooking the rooftops and bell towers of Rome, the terrace is open for aperitifs and dinners, providing views of the Gianicolo hillside. The space features white iron furnishings and is surrounded by herbs, providing what the hotel describes as a “romantic escape above the city.”
