Lupins launches two-week summer produce menu with Natoora celebrating peak seasonal ingredients

Lupins restaurant in London is launching a limited-edition menu in collaboration with produce supplier Natoora, running from the 5th to 19th of August 2025. Located in the heart of Borough, just behind its bustling market, Lupins’ new two-week menu reflects the abundance of fruits and vegetables that are available across Europe during the summer months – key ingredients include Barattiere and Carosello cucumbers grown in Puglia, flat piattone beans, gooseberries from Mora Farm in Cornwall and girolle mushrooms foraged in France. Natoora’s network of over 1,200 growers produces this unique combination of produce, all of which support more sustainable and transparent food systems. Head Chef Ben Miller has crafted the menu with the help of Natoora’s latest arrivals, including Sentinel watermelon from Lombardy, Cuore del Vesuvio and Bull’s Heart tomatoes from Campania and Liguria, and a variety of summer herbs. These plates are to be shared and each showcases a unique quality of the ingredients.

Lupins knows its wine – with 30 different options, it boasts a large selection of special grape varieties and flavour profiles to fit any of their dishes. The orange wine, which is both natural and organic, is not only rare in London, but is also an excellent pairing with their fresh new plates as its bright, yet savoury taste fits wonderfully with any selection from this new menu.

To start, Lupins has much to offer – from the classic bread and butter and olives to the complex flavour of their mangalitza ham, guindillas and crisps appetiser, the restaurant is able to provide simple beginnings to their exceptional food as well as choices that are distinctive to their ethos. The cheddar fritters, despite seemingly being the most carb-filled pick, were a light, yet flavour-packed highlight of the meal. The ham with guindillas and crisps had a welcome kick whilst complementing the fritters and the high anticipation for the sharing plates was hard to ignore after such strong starters.

The watermelon, cucumber, pumpkin seed and pecorino salad may seem like a fresh, slightly sweet option, but surprisingly delivered a piquant edge that led it to be just as filling as the other main courses that accompanied it. The Padron peppers with gorgonzola and honey had the expected sweet and smokey aftertaste while the girolles, pearl barley, dill and goats cheese was an unsuspecting, yet flavourful star of the meal. The braised lamb shoulder with olives, marjoram and polenta finalised these sharing portions, and the table’s consensus was that these “small” plates to share could easily be stand-alone mains. As the immensely rich chocolate cheesecake with roasted fig and creme fraiche wrapped up the evening, satisfaction overwhelmed the table.

Lupins has built a reputation for letting ingredients guide its menu and this collaboration with Natoora successfully continues that approach. Whether it is their fulfilling veggie dishes that showcase Natoora’s brilliantly sourced produce or their meat courses that exceed all expectations, the restaurant has created yet another impressive selection that beats many small-plates spots across London. This specially curated menu will be available from Tuesday to Saturday during its run and reservations are now open through the Lupins website.
