Hera in Stratford unveils autumn menu and weekday lunch ahead of first anniversary

Greek restaurant Hera in Stratford has launched a new autumn menu and a weekday lunch offering as part of its seasonal update. The changes come as the restaurant nears its first anniversary, with the aim of expanding its culinary selection while maintaining a focus on traditional Greek cuisine. The new menus will be introduced in early autumn at the restaurant’s location on Arber Way, within the Stratford Cross development.
The updated menu, created by head chef Mario Selimis, includes new dishes across multiple categories, such as starters, salads, seafood, meat and sides. Notable additions include Grilled Halloumi & Peach, Black Seafood Tagliolini, Prawn Saganaki and a Fillet Steak. According to the restaurant, the new dishes are intended to reflect “a refined balance of indulgent richness and fresh finesse.” In addition to the expanded main menu, Hera has introduced a two-course lunch offering priced at £13.90. Available on weekdays, it features dishes such as Orzo Salad with Chickpeas, Oregano Beef Patties served with chips and pasta dishes, all designed to appeal to local workers seeking a quick but satisfying midday meal.
Recurring events at the restaurant also continue to draw attention. Their regular Greek Night takes place on the last Friday of each month and includes live entertainment such as dancers, musicians and traditional plate smashing. Guests receive a bespoke cocktail on arrival and are encouraged to participate in the festivities. Hera’s weekday Happy Hour also remains in place, running Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm on the restaurant’s outdoor terrace. During this time, selected drinks such as house wine, beer, and spritzes are available for £6, while cocktails – including a spicy margarita variation called Helen of Spice – are priced at £8.
