Chook Chook in Putney offers free curry promotion this October for National Curry Week

Indian restaurant Chook Chook, on Lower Richmond Road in Putney, will be marking National Curry Week with a one-day-only promotion on 6th October. Diners who mention the phrase “Maharaja Express” when ordering or upon being seated will receive a second dish free of charge. The offer is available for in-house dining only and is limited to one redemption per table of up to four people.

The restaurant, which opened in 2019, serves a range of regional Indian curries, including vegetarian, meat and fish options. Notable choices on the menu include the Malabar Veg Curry, a Railway Chicken Curry and a Lamb Shank Madras. In addition, they offer a selection of classic accompaniments such as basmati rice and naan bread, as well as a drinks menu featuring wines and cocktails. Among their drinks offerings are the gin-based Pepino and a classic Negroni, both available during the restaurant’s daily Happy Hour from 9pm at £8 each.

National Curry Week runs from 6th to 12th October everydsx year and celebrates the cultural significance of curry in the UK. It was established in 1998 to honour the nation’s love of the dish and to recognise the contributions of the UK’s Indian restaurant industry. The occasion often sees restaurants across the country hosting special events, menus and offers, and Chook Chook’s is a particularly generous proposition!
