The Bloomsbury Club in central London has launched a three-month cultural initiative titled The Artist Series, combining contemporary art, live music and tequila-based cocktails. Running from 15th October 2025 to 3rd January 2026, the programme coincides with Frieze Week and is a collaboration between The Bloomsbury Club, Maestro Dobel Tequila and London-based artist Helen Bullock.

The initiative opens with a one-night-only event on 15th October, featuring live jazz and on-the-spot illustrations by Bullock. Her artwork will remain on display at the venue throughout the duration of the series. The event also introduces a new cocktail menu inspired by Bullock’s aesthetic and Maestro Dobel’s tequila-making techniques.

Best known for her expressive, hand-drawn style, Bullock has previously worked across fashion and design. Her pieces at The Bloomsbury Club aim to create a visual backdrop for the cocktail experience. “Each cocktail on the new menu reimagines Maestro Dobel’s pioneering Cristalino tequila production process: crystal-clear, colourless serves that surprise with vibrant, complex flavours,” the organisers stated.

The drinks menu includes creations such as Velour (£19), which features Maestro Dobel Diamante tequila, vermouth, cacao, hazelnut milk and cardamom bitters, clarified as a milk punch and served with an artist palette biscuit. Shior Bloom (£19) combines tequila with pink grapefruit, white miso and cucumber air. A tasting flight called The Maestro Dobel Journey (£35) presents three expressions of the brand’s tequila, including the Dobel 50 Cristalino and Dobel 50 1973 edition.

In addition to the drinks list, the series includes free-to-attend tequila masterclasses led by Maestro Dobel’s tequila expert, Maria Modafferi. These sessions are designed to provide insight into the brand’s production methods and flavour profiles. A trade-focused masterclass will take place on 21st October, with public sessions scheduled for 25th November and 9th December, both from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The Artist Series aims to provide an immersive experience that brings together visual art, mixology and live performance in a single setting.
