High Society: On the red carpet with VIP attendees at the Barbican premiere

Staged at the Barbican, the new adaptation of High Society is an extravagant musical that brings to life the book by Arthur Kopit, revised from the original screenplay from 1938, titled The Philadelphia Story. With music and lyrics by Cole Porter, the cast includes Helen George (Tracy Lord), Felicity Kendal (Mother Lord), Freddie Fox (Mike Connor) and Julian Ovenden (Dexter Haven) as they navigate the story of a society wedding that descends into chaos.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of attending the press night of High Society, where we spoke to Alan Carr about his love of musicals and who he would invite to a High Society party if he were to host one.
