Bombolone Doughnuts launches special Halloween range on Whitcomb Street
Bombolone Doughnuts, the bakery on Whitcomb Street near Trafalgar Square, has launched a limited-edition collection just in time for Halloween. The six special versions of the shop’s Italian-style filled brioche doughnuts are available during Spooky Season and might be the perfect treat for a celebration.
The bakery, which opened in 2025, specialises in bomboloni, the cream-filled doughnuts associated with the region of Tuscany. Unlike traditional ring doughnuts, they are made from a slow-proved Italian brioche dough and hand-filled after frying. Bombolone’s are made fresh each day from 4am at the café, then filled, glazed and decorated.
The seasonal range sits alongside Bombolone’s popular regular menu, which includes vanilla, mascarpone, pistachio and chocolate-filled doughnuts. Their Vanillissimo received a two-star Great Taste Award this year.
The six doughnuts for Halloween are:
-
- Mummy Mia – filled with cheesecake cream and coated in white fondant and white chocolate to look like a mummy
- Ripple Pie – cinnamon-spiced apple filling with a Belgian white chocolate glaze
- Eye Love Choco – full of dark chocolate ganache and topped with a chocolate glaze and candy eyes
- Strawberry Scream – oozing with strawberry cream, coated in white chocolate and finished with a red drizzle
- Biscoff Spell – filled with Biscoff cream and covered in a caramel glaze
- White Hazel Web – white chocolate and hazelnut, glazed with Belgian white chocolate and decorated with a chocolate web
Each one costs £4.90, and a box of six is priced at £24. Customers can buy in store, online and pre-order for parties and gatherings by emailing ciao@bombolone.co.uk.
