Ukulele host first pop-up shop at Fourth & Main boutique

Forget any images you might have of George Formby strumming away on the comedy instrument. This is fashion that is inspired by girls’ youth awash in a summery haze of mint greens, pure whites and floral patterns.

For the brand’s first pop-up shop, held in Carnaby Street’s Fourth & Main boutique, it showcased key summer pieces from their S/S’13 collection. As well as summer whites, a to-die-for mint green maxi was available at a hard to resist price.

Ukulele’s is only a year old and already it has made a splash in creating wearable clothes that juxtapose east and west cultures and fashion forward at the same time. Pioneered by Purple-Qie Qin, the brand has made a point of steering away from unreachable fashion. She was on hand at the pop-up shop wearing one of the dresses the SS13 collection.

Sadly the pop-up shop was only open for one day, so if you missed it a trip to the brand’s website is well advised. Make sure you follow them on Twitter for up-to-date information on their next event.
