Beyoncé’s baby bling: Blue Ivy Carter

Beyoncé’s baby bling: Blue Ivy Carter

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s new baby Blue Ivy might not be yet ready to count her own fingers but she is soon becoming one of the most influential – not to mention stylish – celebrity baby. Baby Ivy who is already pampered with gifts worth more than $2 million is setting new standards for cool.

While bling accessories such as jewelled dummies and chains are nothing new for celebrity babies; Baby Ivy is the latest (and perhaps the only to date) recipient of a $15,000 highchair covered in Swarovski crystals. So, this blessed cherub’s consortium of toys will now include: a handmade horse in solid gold made by Japanese jewellery designer Ginza Tanak, a coach-like crib from Posh Tots which is reportedly worth $20,000 and even a mini Bugatti car.

These extravagant gifts obviously come with a disclaimer, despite the fact that celebrities seem to be determined to pamper their descendants with such luxuries. The tiny beads of crystals and diamantés can easily dislodge and choke kids if left unsupervised. Seems like a typical case of problem of plenty for the rich and famous.
