Sophia Webster for J Crew
Last Wednesday in London town became host to a party like no other. J Crew’s South Kensington store was turned into a celebration of their collaboration with the one and only shoe designer, Sophia Webster.
Showcased at New York Fashion Week a few months back, the collaboration came from a shoe purchase made by J Crew’s creative director, Jemma Lyons. Sophia received an email from Jemma out of nowhere one day, stating she needed a pair of shoes for an event, and that was that. Sophia received an email a few days later asking if she wanted to create shoes for their New York presentation and it was an offer she could not refuse. Creating not only a new number one fan, Sophia has managed in just two years to become one of the hottest footwear designers England has ever seen, and now has her own line of shoes being sold at J Crew.
The collection is made up of 13 brilliantly beautiful designs, all true to Sophia’s quirky nature. Polka dots and stars, kitten heels and tassels; these shoes have it all and are undoubtedly on the top of our wish list. Oozing with cool, her designs for the collection all include a little bit of her character, yet still ensure that you are looking classy. Some of our favourites are the black and white Pippa pumps, priced at £480 and the dotty scallop fringed Anneka pumps, priced at £395.
Unfortunately, nearly all of the shoes are sold out, but keep your eyes peeled for the last remaining few!
