Exploring H&M’s globetrotting-inspired studio spring/summer 16 collection

Echoing a free-spirited vibe, Swedish retailer H&M has released its highly anticipated H&M Studio spring/summer 16 Collection.

The bi-annual premium range first made its debut in a showroom in October 2015 at Paris Fashion Week. Industry insiders were given an exclusive sneak peak and welcomed by warm dusty hues and sophisticated paired down looks.

“H&M Studio for spring/summer 2016 is an adventure in style. Our girl is always exploring, whether she’s on the city streets or on the trip of a lifetime. She mixes function with femininity, sportswear with pieces for a party, and whatever she wears she always looks effortless,” says H&M’s Head of Design Pernilla Wohlfahrt.

By colliding constructed lifestyles with modern living, the collection explores the idea of metropolitan dwellers channelling their inner wanderlust. The overall aesthetic creates an epic fusion of urban, sporty and bohemian. Silhouettes are loose to provide the wearer with movement at ease.

Whether travelling to beaches, cities or deserts, key pieces create versatile layered looks suitable for any desired holiday destination. Combine a tribal printed caftan over a bikini. Project yourself from a cool summer night breeze with a soft eggshell yellow leather jacket combined with loose cream trousers and a striped shirt. Practicality is a must with an earthy red backpack and a relaxed tie-dye shirt worn over stretchy leggings.

All geared up in the practical chic casual wear, Vanessa Axente is the star of the official look book. The model has been featured in high-profile campaigns for Chanel and Prada.

Searching for travel attire that doesn’t look “too touristy”? Then this sought-after fashionable utility range is the answer – which would tempt anyone to sporadically travel the world in first-class style.
