The Anna de Codorníu Terrace launches on the Thames

There’s an effortless elegance to the Anna de Codorníu Terrace on the Thames, a pop-up that launched on 10^th May that promises a London you’ve never seen before. In collaboration with DoubleTree by Hilton, they will be serving the full Anna range of premium cava, sangria cocktails and tapas, in a stunning al fresco venue with unquestionably some of the best views of the capital.

The former dock warehouse is complemented by an understated colour palette of greys, whites and muted golds, with the charismatic Anna brand fusing old and new. Complete with white parasols, grey seating and a gleaming bar, the striking design is softened by green foliage, twinkling lights and smartly dressed staff, creating a fresh summery feel that it’s impossible not to feel relaxed in. White blankets and cushions are a personal touch, and keep the cooler evening air at bay as the sun sets over the London skyline. Live music and a DJ enhance an already beautifully curated experience, with Spanish music gently nudging us back to Anna’s roots.

The cava menu features Anna Blanc de Blancs Reserva, the gourmet sparkling of Barcelona; Anna de Codorníu Blanc de Noirs created using 100% red Pinot Noir grapes; and Anna de Codorníu Rosado, with notes of berries and apple. Additional offerings available include the Anna de Codorníu Dulce Ice Edition, featuring intense tasting notes, which can also be enjoyed either on its own, on the rocks or in a cocktail; Codorníu Zero, an alcohol-free option; and a selection of sangria-based sharing cocktails, Spanish beers, ciders and spirits.

The food extends the casual glamour, with a sharing tapas menu featuring the likes of Albóndigas de Carne; Chorizo and Manchego Bocadillos; Calamares con Alioli and Ensalada de Gambas with Paprika and Lime. The richly flavoured dishes are not only artisanal comfort food, but pair beautifully with the selection of wines.

Reflective of Anna de Codorníu’s metropolitan hometown in Barcelona, the open terrace overlooking the Thames is evocative of carefree exotic summers, with a distinctively beachy vibe. It feels a world away from the smoky, bustling London we’re used to, despite the brilliant vista of Canary Wharf that glitters in the sunset, and will no doubt be one of the coolest places to hang out this season.
