Shoreditch brewery offers daily tank-to-glass tasting experience

Long Arm Brewery and Tap Room in Shoreditch, east London, is running a guided beer tasting experience at its Worship Street site, giving visitors access to the working brewery where all of its beer is produced and poured directly from tank to glass. The one-hour sessions are led by the venue’s brewers and are available daily between midday and 8pm for groups of between four and 12 people, at £25 per person, with pre-booking required.

The experience combines a behind-the-scenes look at the brewhouse with a guided tasting of six of the brewery’s beers. Participants hear how the unfiltered, tank-to-glass beers are made and are given accounts of the brewing process from the team responsible for it. Nibbles are served for the table alongside the tasting, and the session concludes with a complimentary game of shuffleboard. The format is aimed at groups marking special occasions, work outings and visitors looking for an alternative activity in central London.

Long Arm brews every pint on site and serves it without packaging, dispensing with kegs, casks and bottles altogether. The approach reduces the brewery’s environmental impact while producing beer that is unfiltered and free from additives. Six brews rotate daily across the bar, spanning lagers, ales, IPAs, stouts and seasonal specials, with head brewer Jason Leeman regularly trialling new recipes.

The venue itself occupies an industrial-style space at 20-26 Worship Street, with large brewing tanks visible on the floor, street-art murals, a shuffleboard table and ultra-high-definition screens showing live sport, including football, rugby, NFL, tennis, basketball, Formula One and boxing. The kitchen serves American-influenced small plates such as smash burgers, wings and nachos, intended to be eaten alongside the beers.

Long Arm’s daily availability and small group sizes place it among the more accessible of these offerings in the capital, where brewery tours are often limited to weekends or larger booked parties.
