Spiritualized perform candlelit acoustic set at Hackney Empire this Saturday

If you missed Carl Barât and Peter Doherty’s critically acclaimed and stunningly atmospheric set last week, SOMEWHERE Festival are providing their spectacular backdrop of 1001 candles once more as Spiritualized perform an exclusive acoustic gig this Saturday – and there are still a handful of tickets left.

It’s been a year since Spiritualized released their eighth LP, And Nothing Hurt, and the band are in the midst of an exciting festival season. After appearing at All Points East Festival in London’s Victoria Park, the group then headed down south at the beginning of the month to headline at the End of the Road Festival in Dorset. Now they return to the capital, taking the stage at the Hackney Empire on the 14th September for an otherworldly evening of candlelit space rock.

The company behind the event, SOMEWHERE, launched in Tokyo in April, and have since provided special venues for artists Phoenix, JUSTICE, Carl Barât, Friendly Fires and Basement Jaxx, brings unique performances with distinctive staging featuring their trademark 1001 candles. Having already received great acclaim in Japan, this London event will be the first international appearance of SOMEWHERE, before touring classic Art Deco theatres in major cities around the world in Paris, New York, Berlin and Moscow.
