The Enemy at Somerset House
Playing songs from their enthralling new third album Streets in the Sky, which was officially released in May, The Enemy captured the audience at the magnificent open-air fountain courtyard at Somerset House.
The album, named after a documentary about a Sheffield council estate, has produced more optimism within the band than previous albums and this saw a better reception from fans who danced and sang along to their favourites including Gimme the Sign with frontman Tom Clarke hammering away on guitar.
2 Kids saw fans singing along with Clarke and: “Life is good, better than they say/They can never take our memories away” echoed from ear to ear.
It is a relief that The Enemy have made a comeback, with material that is far from disappointing, their new-found optimism is reflected on to the fans and this could be a big turning point for them.
