Gritty thriller Gangs of London returns to the screen on Sky Atlantic for a second series. Exposing the corrupt criminal underbelly of London, viewers see warring kingpin families take centre-stage in the storylines once again, as a dangerous new warlord rises. Expect more violent clashes, murder and power struggles that all contribute to this city’s lawless undercurrent.

The first season unfolded around the assignation of the head of London’s most prolific criminal family, Finn Wallace, and the unravelling of that family organisation as a result of his death. This season brings a clash at international levels as new characters step forward and disrupt the level playing field of gun and heroin trade.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to principal director Corin Hardy and cast members Sope Dirisu, Michelle Fairly, Lucian Msmati, Eri Shuka and Orli Shuka at the Rosewood Hotel, London.

Hardy talked about the new characters and his collaboration on this new series, while Dirisu expanded on his journey from undercover cop to being forced to work for the investors and his favourite scenes.

Fairly and Msmati spoke about the background story of the show, their characters and family links, and what it was like to work with this ensemble cast and visionary director.

Off and onscreen married couple Shuka and Shuka told us about working together on the show, the epic scene they filmed for the start of the second series and working with Hardy once again.
