The Enemy announces Indie Til I Die UK tour with The Subways and The Holloways
The Enemy, a band that has firmly re-established itself as a powerhouse in the music scene since their reunion in 2022, has announced an eagerly anticipated UK tour titled Indie Til I Die set for October. This tour is not only a nod to their devout fanbase but also a collaboration with notable bands The Subways and The Holloways, promising an unforgettable experience across several cities. Adding to the allure, Radio X’s Sunta Templeton and James Hall will be enriching the shows with their DJ sets.
Since their reformation, The Enemy has seen an overwhelming response, with their performances, including sold-out shows at the HMV Empire in Coventry and the O2 Forum Kentish Town, being described as “exhilarating” by us here at The Upcoming and “phenomenal” by When the Horn Blows. The band’s journey through various festivals in 2023, ranging from the Isle of Wight to the Shiiine On Weekender, has only solidified their return to the limelight.
Tom Clarke, The Enemy’s frontman, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming tour, stating, “We’re absolutely buzzing about this tour! Excited to be sharing the stage with some great bands in some of our favourite rooms around the country!”
The tour kicks off on 4th October at the Edinburgh O2 Academy and will see the band performing in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and culminating in London at the O2 Academy Brixton on the 19th. Tickets are set to go on sale on Thursday 28th March at 10 am.
The Enemy, comprising original members Tom Clarke, Andy Hopkins and Liam Watts, first made waves in 2007 with their debut album We’ll Live and Die In These Towns, which featured hits like Had Enough and Away From Here and earned a Platinum certification. Following their debut, the band released two more successful albums and shared stages with iconic acts such as Oasis, The Killers and The Rolling Stones.
Joining them on tour, The Subways will bring their garage-rock energy that has been a staple since their early albums Young For Eternity and All Or Nothing. Their recent album Uncertain Joys has been hailed as a “triumphant return” by XS Noise. The Holloways, known for their indie-pop hits Generator and Two Left Feet, are embarking on their first full tour in 13 years, marking a significant return to the scene after the loss of Rob Skipper in 2014.
This tour not only marks a significant moment for The Enemy but also celebrates the enduring spirit and camaraderie within the indie music scene, promising fans across the UK a series of performances that will be remembered for years to come.
