Mezcalito Chelsea inaugurates the summer season with its Tulum-inspired terrace

Nestled in the heart of Chelsea, Mezcalito celebrates its sixth year of bringing a slice of Mexico to West London. With a Tulum-inspired terrace and a menu rich in authentic Mexican tapas, the venue is gearing up for the summer season. In addition to its gastronomic offerings, Mezcalito Chelsea boasts one of Europe’s largest collections of agave spirits, featuring over 600 tequilas and mezcals.

Located at 119 Sydney Street, the establishment’s bohemian space is complemented by a sleek bar area and a back terrace, designed to transport guests to the sunny shores of Tulum. The terrace is equipped with a retractable roof and heaters, ensuring a cosy outdoor haven throughout the year. Menu highlights include Botanas & Antijitos like creamy Guacamole with Chicharrón, Esquite, and an array of fresh salsas. For those seeking something distinctive, the Mexican Sushi options, such as the Futomaki and the Hosomaki de Salmon y Coco, pay homage to Mexico’s love for sushi with a unique twist.

Main dishes features a variety of flavours, from Enchiladas to Camarones al Tequila, alongside a diverse selection of tacos. Sweet endings are not forgotten, with Churros con Dulce de Leche among the dessert choices. The cocktail menu, including a Tour Around Mexico list, invites patrons to explore the country’s famed destinations through drinks like the Acapulco and the Oaxaca, incorporating Mezcalito’s extensive tequila and mezcal collection.

Oliver Castilla-Tristan, co-founder of Mezcalito Chelsea and a noted tequila and mezcal expert, aims to recreate the lively atmosphere and bold flavours of his Mexican heritage in West London. The venue’s weekly events, including Taco Tuesdays with discounted menus and 2-4-1 frozen margaritas, Mariachi Wednesdays, and DJ nights every Saturday, add to its appeal as a dynamic social hub.

The Tulum Bottomless Brunch, available on weekends, presents another layer of indulgence with a fixed price menu that includes taquitos, quesadillas, and mouthwatering desserts, paired with bottomless drinks. Additionally, a curated selection of Cuban cigars complements the experience, highlighting the establishment’s dedication to offering a comprehensive taste of luxury.
