Noreen brings modern Middle Eastern cuisine and hospitality to Marylebone

New Middle Eastern restaurant, Noreen officially opened its doors this week in Marylebone, offering a modern take on ingredient-led cooking inspired by the culinary traditions of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant. The 80-cover venue, which includes an outdoor terrace, is led by chef Mehdi Hani, formerly of Em Sherif at Harrods and The Dorchester. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner.

Noreen, whose name translates to “two lights” in Arabic, aims to reflect the warmth, connection and history of Middle Eastern hospitality through its menu and service. The kitchen is helmed by Hani, who draws on his Lebanese and Syrian heritage to reinterpret traditional flavours for a contemporary audience. The menu features a range of dishes, from mezze platters and fire-grilled meats to a selection of cocktails inspired by regional ingredients.

According to the restaurant, their food offerings are intended to celebrate the breadth of Middle Eastern cuisine, highlighting both classic and contemporary dishes. The kitchen will focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, with a particular emphasis on the sharing culture that characterises much of the region’s food. Hani said, “Through food and service, Noreen champions delicacies from mezzes and fire-kissed meats to innovative cocktails, creating a convivial atmosphere with warm hospitality in the heart of Marylebone.”
