Chef Nokx Majozi to hold culinary residency at Scotland’s Linn House for Glorious Twelfth supper series

Chef Nokx Majozi to hold culinary residency at Scotland’s Linn House for Glorious Twelfth supper series

Chef Nokx Majozi, Head Pie Maker at London’s renowned Holborn Dining Room, will be holding a five-day culinary residency at Linn House, a luxury retreat in Speyside, Scotland, from 13th to 17th August 2025. The event, titled The Glorious Twelfth with Nokx Majozi, forms the third instalment of the Linn House Supper Series and is timed to coincide with the start of the grouse shooting season—an annual tradition in the UK known as the Glorious Twelfth.

Hosted at the Victorian manor of Linn House, the dining experience will feature a five-course menu created by Majozi, showcasing seasonal game meats native to the Speyside region, paired with Scotch whiskies and cocktails from Chivas Brothers, the whisky producer behind brands such as Chivas Regal and Royal Salute.

Linn House, originally built in 1870 and recently renovated, serves as the private guest house of Chivas Brothers. Located on the banks of the River Isla in Speyside, the retreat offers guests an opportunity to explore the intersection of local produce and whisky-making traditions in a rural Scottish setting.

The Supper Series is an ongoing initiative aimed at blending Scotland’s culinary and whisky heritage through seasonal dining experiences. This edition marks the first collaboration between Linn House and Majozi, who brings a distinctive take on British pies informed by her South African heritage.

“Whisky has always had a special place in my heart, especially Chivas Regal, which reminds me of my father’s love for it back home in South Africa. I’m honoured to bring my own culinary heritage to this unique setting and to reimagine game pies as a way of celebrating Scottish tradition with a hint of modern flair. I look forward to welcoming guests to what I know will be a truly special occasion,” said Majozi.

Jacques-Henri Brive, Head of Luxury at Chivas Brothers, added: “Nokx Majozi’s fearless creativity and deep respect for traditional flavours make her the perfect collaborator for this summer’s Supper Series. Her interpretation of the British classic pie, elevated by locally sourced game and our expertly crafted whiskies, promises a dining experience that’s rich in both taste and storytelling.”
