Chancery Rosewood to launch five new dining venues in Grosvenor Square, including London debut of chef Masa Takayama

Newly redeveloped luxury hotel The Chancery Rosewood, located in Grosvenor Square, has announced the launch of five new dining and drinking establishments. Serra, Jacqueline, Eagle Bar and GSQ will open their doors on 1st September, followed by Tobi Masa on the 16th. Housed within the Grade II-listed former US Embassy building, the venues are part of the hotel’s broader culinary offering, aimed at establishing it as a gastronomic destination in the capital.

Each of the new venues will offer a distinct dining experience. Serra, under the direction of chef de cuisine Alex Povall, will focus on Southern Mediterranean fare. Povall, formerly executive chef at Berenjak in Soho, brings experience from Michelin-starred kitchens, including Angela Hartnett’s Murano. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and shared dishes.

Jacqueline is a dessert salon and tearoom led by executive pastry chef Marius Dufay, and will operate from 11am to 11pm daily. The venue’s signature offering is its Flower Collection – pastries inspired by single blooms and created using perfumery techniques. A three-course afternoon tea will also be available.

Tobi Masa marks the London debut of Masayoshi “Masa” Takayama, the chef behind the eponymous three-Michelin-starred restaurant in New York City that specialises in a minimalist and ingredient-focused approach to Japanese cuisine. The new venture will introduce his signature style to a UK audience for the first time.

The Eagle Bar, situated on the hotel’s rooftop, will offer panoramic views across London. Overseen by director of bars Liana Oster, the venue will feature a curated cocktail list and a music programme developed in collaboration with an East London vinyl collective. It will open from 5pm until late.

Finally, GSQ, a café and delicatessen, will serve a rotating menu of coffee, pastries, salads and sandwiches from 8am to 8pm daily. The space will also include a takeaway counter, retail pantry and outdoor terrace.
