Fortnum & Mason launches 2025 Christmas Afternoon Tea with Tell Camellia collaboration in Piccadilly

Fortnum & Mason has launched its Christmas Afternoon Tea for 2025 at its Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon in Piccadilly, London. The selection has been created in collaboration with Tell Camellia, a Hong Kong-based bar ranked among Asia’s 50 Best that specialises in tea-inspired drinks. The seasonal offering features a selection of traditional and contemporary teatime dishes and includes a specially created cocktail developed in partnership with Tell Camellia’s founder and mixologist, Gagan Gurung.

The collaboration sees Fortnum’s executive pastry chef Roger Pizey and his team present a menu of sweet and savoury items designed to reflect the season. Guests can find finger sandwiches filled with Suffolk ham cured in Christmas spices or Kames Bay smoked trout with dill cream cheese, alongside seasonal additions such as a Lobster Cocktail Tart, Stilton and Walnut Cheesecake, pheasant sausage rolls and profiteroles filled with wild mushroom and tarragon. On the sweet side, there’s Dulce Cranberry Mousse, Sticky Figgy Pudding Loaf, a traditional Fortnum’s mince pie and a mandarin mousse shaped like a festive bauble. A selection of scones, both savoury and sweet, are served with house preserves, fruit curds and clotted or cream cheese fillings.

For those opting for the optimally indulgent High Tea Stand, additional dishes include Seaweed-Crusted Halibut with Champagne Caviar Velouté and Venison Wellington, followed by the venue’s signature patisseries and scones. Mandarin Cake will also be served from roaming cake trolleys, with guests given the option to enjoy it on-site or take it home.

The partnership with Tell Camellia aims to merge Fortnum & Mason’s 300-year tea heritage with the Hong Kong bar’s contemporary mixology techniques. In addition to the afternoon tea selections, they are also introducing a limited-edition cocktail called the Merrycha, which combines Fortnum’s spiced Christmas tea blend with flavours of mandarin marmalade, salted butter popcorn and dark rum. The special libation will be served throughout the winter season at both the Piccadilly store and at Tell Camellia’s 181 Restaurant in Hong Kong.

The Christmas Afternoon Tea is available daily at the iconic store’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, with opening hours varying throughout the week. Reservations are recommended due to high seasonal demand.
