London restaurants celebrate British Pie Week with special menus and limited-edition pies

A number of London restaurants and pubs are preparing to celebrate British Pie Week, which runs from 2nd to 8th March, by offering special pie-themed menus and limited-edition dishes. The annual festival, which highlights the enduring popularity of pies in British cuisine, will see venues across the capital introducing both classic recipes and innovative variations in honour of the occasion. An increasingly varied platform for both traditional and contemporary takes, the week invites diners to explore a mix of familiar flavours and creative interpretations. Here are some picks to consider.

The Trafalgar in Chelsea

At Grade II listed Georgian pub The Trafalgar, in Chelsea, a Beef Shin and Guinness Pie will be available for one week only. Priced at £21, the dish is served with creamy mash, seasonal vegetables, and gravy. The Trafalgar, known for its rotation of pies such as Lobster and Scallop and Venison and Beef, is offering the limited-edition version alongside its regular menu. The venue is described as “an opportunity to enjoy the family-favourite pie in an elevated setting.”
