Thirty7 to celebrate English rosé producer The Heretics with special dinner and a party
London restaurant Thirty7 is hosting a ticketed dinner and party on 7th May to mark their longstanding retail and restaurant partnership with English wine producer The Heretics – and they’re intriguingly calling it The Heretics Get Out of Hand.
The evening will take place at the restaurant (sister to The Oystermen) and will feature a three-course meal with paired wines from The Heretics. DJ Dave Holloway is scheduled to perform, with owners Matt Lovell and Rob Hampton also in attendance.
Founded by Gareth Maxwell and Jimmy Hunter, The Heretics produces English rosé, including their signature Blowhorn, which is sold in unlabelled black bottles. Their wines have been sold at Bedford Street Wines and The Oystermen since they were first made public – in fact, the group was their very first stockist.
The event in May is intended to mark the partnership between the venues and the winemakers, who have built a relationship over several years. Lovell and Hampton explain their first encounter with the producers’ wine prompted a reassessment of English rosés. “The Blowhorn rosé we tried that day really did change how we thought about still rosé from these fair islands,” they said, adding that “The Heretics’ approach to wine making and the brand is as unique as we had come to expect of both Gareth and his partner Jimmy”.
Tickets are limited and available for purchase now.
