The world of Funboys is growing beyond television with the launch of Fair Game, a new BBC comedy spin-off that sees the Ballymacnoose gang swap rural adventures for videogame reviews.

The four-part digital series, now available on BBC iPlayer with episodes released weekly on the BBC’s official YouTube channel, reunites Jordan (Rian Lennon), Callum (Ryan Dylan), Lorcan (Lee Ross James) and Gemma (Ele McKenzie) following the second series of the award-winning comedy.

Presented as an amateur gaming review show, Fair Game follows the self-proclaimed “biggest and coolest gamers in Ballymacnoose” as they tackle everything from blockbuster titles to surprisingly philosophical debates about videogames and modern life. The series also features voice actor Roger Craig Smith, best known for roles in the Sonic the Hedgehog, Assassin’s Creed and Resident Evil franchises.

Produced by Mayhay Studios, the series was created by Funboys writers Rian Lennon and Ryan Dylan as part of the BBC’s expanding slate of digital-first comedy, developed specifically for YouTube and BBC iPlayer.

BBC Director of Comedy Jon Petrie said: “Fair Game takes everything people love about the Funboys series and channels it into a digital-first format that feels perfectly suited to YouTube.”

All four episodes of Funboys: Fair Game are available now on BBC iPlayer, with episodes also premiering weekly on the BBC’s YouTube channel. Both series of Funboys are also streaming on BBC iPlayer.
