The film also stars Damian Lewis, Rory Wilmot and Alfred Enoch.
The newly released trailer offers a first look at the high-stakes chase through London, combining action with psychological suspense as Maia is pushed to her physical and emotional limits in a relentless fight to save her child.
Written by Mark Gibson and produced by David Kosse, The Runner marks Macdonald’s latest feature following a career spanning acclaimed documentaries and narrative films, bringing his character-driven approach to a tense, contained thriller.
