Original recipe of the week: Cranberry and Cinnamon Fizz

Everyone knows that at Christmas, for the most part, we enjoy a good drink. For the men it all about mulled cider and good strong ales; however when it comes down to the female choice, this normally centres, when mulled wine isn’t concerned, on champagne. Why not give your Christmas champagne some added zing this year with our delicious recipe?

The combination of cranberry and cinnamon adds just the right amount of fiery sweetness to give a delicious festive feel to your holiday tipple.

Cranberry and Cinnamon Fizz

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Serves 5

What you will need:

1 bottle of champagne
1 carton of cranberry juice
A handful of dried cranberries
5 cinnamon sticks
5 tsp of sugar syrup

What you need to do:

  1. Line the bottom of each glass with a few dried cranberries.
  2. Fill half the glass with champagne and wait for the bubbles to settle.
  3. Top up the rest of the glass with cranberry juice and a teaspoon of sugar syrup.
  4. Next add in the cinnamon stick and use the stick to give the drink a slight mix. It’s ready to drink!
