SGC N-Y-C’s downtown LA inspired collection

SGC N-Y-C is a New York-based clothing store that now offers world-wide shipping if you shop online on their website.

The name of the brand stands for Social Gathering Clothing, and it was created by a group of friends.

The style of the brand is casual street-wear, with oversized t-shirts in fluid fabrics, sweaters and dresses. It is street wear without being sporty, and that’s what we like about it. Their designs are comfortable and feminine at the same time.

This collection reminds us of those by American Apparel, but definitely more affordable and more original.

The leather-embellished pieces ought to be owned by every single one of us; there’s a leather striped sweater that can be worn as simple sweater but is long enough to be worn as a (short) dress too, or a double leather cuff sweater that would look great with just anything. Simpler, a leather crossed tank top —and this one is limited edition.

Their last collection’s campaign was shot in Los Angeles and it looks great. Californian road trip inspired, we can see ourselves wearing all of the pieces in some rock’n’roll bar in downtown LA.

The two girls chosen for the photo shoot are beautiful and we want to look like them the next time we vacation in California —not even, just in our everyday life: relaxed but sexy.
