Award-winning collaboration: Farah Vintage meets NME

Award-winning collaboration: Farah Vintage meets NME

As avid music fans ourselves, who regularly pick up the latest copy of revolutionary musical print the NME, we were extremely delighted by their latest collaboration with traditional men’s clothing label Farah Vintage.

A truly unique publication – the NME started back in 1952 – it’s by far the longest running musical weekly! While across the pond, founded in the US, Farah Vintage was born in the 1920s and steadily built up a loyal following before reaching the UK in the 70s, and then things really began to happen for them! Worn by many musicians and fans alike, the brand represented a sense of elitism among the fashion savvy, including the mods, stickmen and rockerbillys. It generated respect for those seen to be displaying the famous label.

Farah present an effortless and traditional style, oozing heritage throughout, and recently a whole new generation have been drawn to the brand, thanks to their history with musicians. Key classics and wardrobe staples make this brand easy to wear, allowing individuals to add their own distinct flair. After all, music and fashion are all about expression, and when the two brands collide it’s bound to be a creative explosion!

Farah are not only an official partner to the NME Awards, but are also sponsoring the best festival category, as well as dressing the crew and acts such as Everything Everything, Hurts, The Cribs and Miles Kane, to name a few.

It’s incredibly on-point for this season, as SS13 runways were packed with classic and original pieces, showing that iconic styles will always be untouchable.

With each era and new musical movement, fashion is there to hold its hand. It’s all about the art of creativity and that’s what makes this partnership ever so perfect.
