Fashion is Borne
Since 2010 Elise Berger has been making her collection come to life, quite literally, as she believes every garment has a soul. This is an innovative and appealing idea that shows the designer’s appreciation for the clothes she creates.
Inspired by classic menswear tailoring, Borne is able to combine classy modern looks, which are also fitting for daywear. The idea of products with personality is shown throughout her pieces. Through ruffles, pockets, patterns and print the clothes are given movement and character.
The “Hermine dress” is one of my favourite pieces. Made with silk and lace, this gorgeous floral patterned dress is priced at £365. It simply slips on and is very feminine and chic, with a sweet ruffle design on the waist. The dress is also available in a floral print or navy silk, for sizes 8-14. It is a must-have piece for the upcoming summer months. 
The impeccably tailored “Hilde Shirt” can be used to dress up or down. Priced at £120 this shirt can be used to achieve several contemporary looks. I really like the rounded collar and overall clean cut look.
The adorable “Theodora trousers” in pastel pink are a real statement piece. These somewhat bold trousers are made subtle through providing comfort and modernism. With those iconic ruffles and pretty pleats these trousers are by far my most desired of the whole collection.
