Elvira Vintage Pop-up Fair

Elvira Vintage Pop-up Fair

On the 1st December we were allowed an early Christmas treat after being invited to the Elvira Vintage pop up fair at the Galante Bar South Kensington. Voted one of the top five pop-up shops by Vogue magazine with items for sale from YSL and Ralph Lauren to name but a few.

With a buzzing atmosphere and the cocktails flowing, it was a rare chance to admire and purchase garments form the 20s to the 80s. Each creation hanging on the rail was a beautiful piece of fashion bought back to life.

Everything about the occasion was steeped in vintage style with the cocktails of choice being the ever-elegant Cosmopolitan and the talented DJ Miles Sagnia serving up a selection of classics that fitted the mood perfectly.

Some of the garments on show include crisp white shirts to Gal dresses, blocks, hoods, mini skirts and evening gowns. Showing an evolution of fashion over a period of 60 years, other garments on offer included Luscious vi rage fur, lace beauties and a colourful array of silks and cottons.

Everything here looked like new and would not be out of place on the catwalk today. The pieces were obviously chosen well with everything being suitable for the fashionista.

The event was a joy to attend and we can see why it has been voted in the top five from Vogue. As we left we all hope that Santa leaves us something vintage under our tree this year.
