Patrick Robinson to launch his own label, Pashko

Former creative director of Gap, Patrick Robinson has announced the launch of a new label, Pashko.  Pashko (meaning passion in Greek) has been released to be a sportswear-inspired brand that will be purely a pre-order service by customers and will not be going into full production. The brand has been described as cool, sexy and very urban with designs created for pursuing your passions. The label will be launched via kickstarter.com, a website that helps entrepreneurs secure financial aid.

The collection itself will be a range of 19 sportswear inspired pieces such as performance wear, shirts and cargo shorts. The clothes will also include loungewear, active wear and urban clothes targeted toward the more athletic audience. Robinson wants to use his many years in the fashion industry to show through and being able to display his love of fabric, fit and finishes.

With a very cool, minimal vibe, the pieces are designed to be versatile enough to go for a bike ride or a lunch meeting: totally suitable for both. In an interview, he has said “I wanted to have a direct connection with the customer. I am only going to show the prototypes, which will only get made if the people pre-order them. It’s not just what you wear to the gym. The best way to describe it is clothes not just to work out in, but to hang out in”.

As the collection is on a pre-order only basis, Robinson has also said he will keep prices reasonable and attainable-we have to love him for that!
