Frills by AD is a brand dedicated solely to make pretty a part of the body which is sometimes neglected; the ankle.

The brand was created by America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion contestant, Annaliese Dayes. The British designer, model and presenter, who comes from North London, handcrafts her one-of-a-kind socks. The idea simply started because of her fascination of ankle socks and noticed there was no other brand creating unique sock designs that which she wanted to wear

Ankle socks are slowly making a comeback and suit all styles. They are perfect to wear with any type of footwear, whether it be brogues, heels, Converse, trainers, or the grungy/punk look of DM’s/creepers.

It can transform and add to your look, whether your style is ultra-feminine or the opposite. The frills contrast well and add an edge to any outfit. Current trends seen at major fashion houses see the juxtaposition of harsh, dark masculinity with a twist of pretty, pastel lace or floral. So the Frills by AD are a genius idea; they adopt that style effortlessly.

The collection includes a use of different materials including tassels, lace, fringing for the frills and different prints and colours that include floral and gold embroidered ribbon.

All hail the ankle socks. What a frilling idea!

Frills by AD can be purchased online, click here to see more.

The brand will also be taking part in the exciting High Street Fashion Week from April 22nd-28th to book tickets, visit here.
