Roxy Ball Room cues up third London site with Holborn opening

Competitive socialising brand Roxy Ball Room has opened its third London site this week at Little Turnstile, off High Holborn, bringing a 12,000 sq ft games venue to central London as the chain continues its expansion in the capital. The team describes the model as a combination of competitive gaming, food, drinks and a rock and indie soundtrack. This latest opening follows two existing London sites, and forms part of a wider rollout of the brand beyond its northern English roots.

The new branch brings together a range of activities, including the company’s Crazy Pool concept (billed as “a mash-up where the chaos of crazy golf meets the skill of American pool”), duck pin bowling, karaoke, ice-free curling, tech darts, tech putt, tech shuffle and American pool. There’s also a bar serving cocktails and other drinks, with a food menu of US-style dishes. 

Roxy Ball Room Holborn is part of a market that has grown considerably in UK cities over the past decade, as companies have combined more traditional bar trading with games and activities. Competitive socialising has expanded to offer fun that ranges from darts and mini-golf to axe throwing and shuffleboard. The new Holborn venue occupies a larger than average unit, which means there’s room for the huge range of games on offer. It’s open for over 18s only, seven days a week until late – ideal for groups booking after-work socials, birthdays, date nights and corporate events.
