East London based Velvet Johnston is known for her womenswear label where she has created a niche for herself. She is known for modern and seductive pieces of work that are shown through complex pattern cutting and innovative design.  Her infusion of designs include luxurious and hi-tech fabrics with a mix of feminine and masculine styling, making for the perfect combination!

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was launched by Ralph Lauren in 1994 to help fight the disease with the help of many faces in fashion.  In the past celebrities like Elle Macpherson, Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue have all teamed up with renowned photographers like Mario Testino to help raise funds.

This year, Velvet Johnstone has teamed up with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer for her second collaboration. The designer and DJ Deanne Oliver-Evans, also known as Blonde Ambition, have joined forces to create a very cool campaign for S/S’13. This is a win-win combination as both are fond of eachother’s work.

Both of these women feel strongly about this campaign and both wanted to unite to help beat breast cancer. The DJ is involved in the campaign by modelling the clothes whilst the clothes are provided by Velvet Johnstone.

This Velvet Johnstone collection is both light and airy and is ideal for the summer months. Each individual piece is suitable to wear from day to night and is versatile for this season.

In wearing your support for this cause, donations are made so that research can be carried out and better treatments can be developed so that women can experience better care when battling breast cancer. This is a brilliant collaboration resulting in a stunning and positive campaign with individuals who care about the cause to raise awareness.

How will you support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer?
