Urban Decay has us begging for fall with their new line-up

Urban Decay has us begging for fall with their new line-up

The new fall 2013 collection from Urban Decay is heading our way next month, but The Upcoming has had a sneaky preview already.urban decay 1

The big thing with this collection is lips, new lipsticks and liners and we’re very impressed with them! There are 22 new shades of Revolution lipstick in the collection, everything from dark berry shades to light sheer peach ones. The lip liners are receiving a re-launch with 15 new shades joining the clear “Ozone” liner.urban decay 2

The texture of the lipstick is soft and buttery, making it really easy to apply and a blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, shea butter and cocoa butter keep the lips soft and moisturised. The patented “pigment infusion system” allows a high level of pigment but still keeps the texture soft.urban decay 3

The most impressive element of these products, however, has to be their durability. After being painted with the lovely deep berry shade Shame and the Venom lip liner, the products were subjected to lots of eating, drinking and kissing, in the name of science, of course. The products stayed on really well, making them a must-have for anyone who hates having to reapply lipstick all the time. urban decay 4

The Naked range of products is highly spoken about in the beauty world, especially the palettes, and now Urban Decay is launching a finishing powder to join them. The Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder is a demi-matte, ultra-light powder that helps sets your make-up and cut shine in one sweep. The powder matches in with the other products in the range and is beautifully light and feather soft on the skin. The box is split into two compartments with the powder and mirror on top and an applicator sponge underneath. The packaging itself is also super light-weight, making it great to drop in your handbag without weighing you down. urban decay 5

A major seller and cult product in the Urban Decay collection has to be their eye-shadow primer, and this season an anti-ageing version joins the fight against eye-shadow disappearance. Formulated to help fight the visible signs of ageing, this primer fights wrinkles, improves skin texture, wakes up tired eyes, minimises imperfections and helps your shadow stay put. If you don’t want to be touching up your make-up all day, a primer is definitely the way to go.urban decay 6

Once you’ve got your eye-shadow sorted, maybe it’s time to sort those brows? Another much-loved product by fans, the brow box has been given a redesign and a tweak to make it even better than before. Now in purple, the brow box comes with two brushes so you don’t have to use the same brush for wax and powder. There’s also now a second mirror under the top section of the box that is magnified, giving you a clearer view of those pesky stray hairs. The brow box comes in Honey Pot for dark and light blondes and Brown Sugar for those with brown and dark brown hairs. urban decay 7

In partnership with SKINDINÄVIA,  Urban Decay are launching their new B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray. The spray helps to absorb oil, minimise pores and reduce redness and you can use it at any time of the day, even over your make-up. It is probably best to use before you apply anything else, although it is good to know it won’t mess up your make-up if you want to top up during the day. The spritz cap provides a really even and light mist that won’t have you feeling like you’ve just been through a car wash.urban decay 8

Last but not least, we have a new nail polish collection, Nail Color. These polishes will be very limited edition so you will need to grab them when you can, as once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Nail Color collections will change every spring and fall and will consist of two “3-free” colours that the team think best reflect that season. This fall we have Addiction – a gun-metal smoky shade with high shine micro-sparkle and Vice – a rich, deep purple with micro-shimmer. These are both shades to look out for and our wallets are already prepared for their arrival.
