Y.A.S gets you set for the party season

Vero Moda’s sub brand, Y.A.S, has just released their A/W ‘13 party collection. Designed to provide mix and match pieces for the winter party season, it describes itself as “fusing sleek, laid-back style with a dash of on-trend glamour”. It’s fronted by Danish blogger, former model and general “it girl” Pernille Teisbæk, who incidentally wore a lot of her own jewellery for the shoot, highlighting Y.A.S’s self-proclaimed ethos – that “true style is a personal matter”.www.wetouch.dk mail@wetouch.dk +45 3920 2224

From what we’ve seen, it certainly delivers. It showcases an on-trend and well-combined fusion of contrasting textures and colours, from feathers and fringing to leather and lace. Metallic wool, block-colour silks and monotone futuristic prints are all included. There’s definitely a really wide variety – nothing looks repetitive.www.wetouch.dk mail@wetouch.dk +45 3920 2224

Although they’ve been primarily designed to be draped over bars and to catch glances on dance floors, many of the pieces are versatile enough to be suitable for work or during the day if you wanted something with a little oomph.www.wetouch.dk mail@wetouch.dk +45 3920 2224

A lot of it has a boyish edge in terms of shape – shoulder-emphasising jackets, baggy shorts and tops – but this is countered by girly yet bold digital prints and leg-baring skater skirts, which means femininity isn’t sacrificed. The fabrics are good quality and it has a feeling of exclusivity about it, along with a reasonable price tag.

The collection is available from Harvey Nichols and ASOS from October. It’s likely you’ll find that you couldn’t live without it come the office Christmas party!

The collection will be available at ASOS and Harvey Nichols.
