Deadly Ponies: modern handbags with a classical twist

If you have a love for handbags then you are in luck, as Deadly Ponies has a great collection of summery sandcastle-inspired bags in a range of styles. Whether you are dining out, going for a stroll along the beach or even heading off to work, there is a bag to suit you.Screen shot 2013-08-27 at 07.52.28

Using an eclectic mix of materials – from dry brush suede to soft-bubbled lamb – each bag is lovingly crafted to be hardwearing, classical and beautiful. With a change of material each season, Deadly Ponies opted for suede – a choice of fabric they haven’t used for three years – as it sits nicely along with the sandcastle-inspired collection. Screen shot 2013-08-27 at 07.52.16

With a focus on sand, spice and sultans, designer Liam Bowden describes the tangerine, bark, sand and cobalt colour range as “a touch of Persian royalty with pinch of turmeric”.

The designer’s personal favourite is Mr Porter Tote, which also has Persian influences, and signifies a new look for the brand.

As well as introducing a new style, the logo has changed to adopt a more classical aesthetic – meaning Deadly Ponies is definitely the place to visit if you want a statement bag with a classic twist.
