It is always exciting when two celebrities you admire collaborate and when it involves fashion, our ears just prick up and we start counting down the days until the launch. Best buds and super celebrities, Stella McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow have teamed up to create a capsule collection for Gwyneth’s lifestyle website, Goop.

Paltrow spoke about the new collection saying: “We complement each other. It was the right time. We are very close friends. We were bringing two worlds together and it was important not to force them.”

The line will consist of statement and investment pieces, perfectly in time for a necessary cheeky and elaborate new season purchase. The palette will consist of mainly monochrome, a subtle nod to the trend that has been so popular this year. Some of the staple pieces will include a black blazer, black jeans, black jumpsuit and the Beckett bag in black, white or grey.

“I have quite a lot of admiration for her at so many levels and that’s a big part of how I design,” McCartney spoke about Paltrow. “Her spirit and inner beauty as well as outer beauty are a big inspiration for me. I draw from that every day from all my friends.”

Prices will start from £510, around the same cost as a pretty piece from McCartney’s other lines. So while they don’t come cheap, they have been described as investment pieces and you can trust that they will be timeless and last seasons. The collection launches next Friday and we can’t wait to have the first peek and the garments.
