Join this season’s pyjama party

There’s nothing like getting straight into those PJs after a hard day’s work, or slipping into some negligée to make you feel seductive. Whether it’s simply for comfort or for a more sensual reason – pyjamas always fulfil their duty. So we love how the nightly vestments have slinked their way into daywear.

This season’s pyjama-themed collection first sparked people’s interest when Sofia Coppola accompanied Marc Jacobs to this year’s Met Gala wearing one of his pyjama-inspired autumn 2013 creations. And how could we forget Mark Jacobs stepping out in his floral silky PJs following all three of his A/W 2013 fashion week shows?  It was an entertaining declaration: “embrace our jammies”.

Since then, there seems to be an array of comfortable and silky garments hitting the shelves. Items range from elegant pyjama silk dresses, to the pyjama pantsuits, to printed palazzo pants.  Understandably, some items may be too daring to don the streets in. The matching silk sleepwear sets with graphic detailing may get you a few looks when you are out doing your weekly shop. And that is why we particularly love Imagine Fashion Window Shopper’s sultry and feminine picks.

The online shopping site has craftily manifested top items from this season’s boudoir collections. Silk, satin, lace and fur are all the materials that will make us feel involved in this season’s theme and allow us to look sexy and not silly.

The site features Charlotte Olympia’s Pom Pom heel to make you feel like a flirtatious Cinderella. Another flirty garb is the Calcite Bustier Dress by Opening Ceremony – sexy yet chic and styled with a playful peplumed hem. Or the beautiful mint-green satin gown by Prabal Gurung to emit a girly/sexy feel.

With all these wonderful delights in stock this season, it’s going to be hard not to get PJ rocking at all those parties.
