Raised in a family centred on design, and living in the home of the British shoe industry – Northampton – Bill Amberg was introduced to leather and encouraged to get creative with it from a young age. Now his bag designs have been seen on a long list of celebrities including Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Uma Thurman, and his new collection is simply stunning.

The brand’s A/W 2013 collection intends to showcase all of the skills that go hand-in-hand with UK manufacturing. The collection really takes the Bill Amberg name back to its roots and is an eclectic mix of the brand’s staple designs and new and exciting styles.

The Explorer range is an entirely new venture for this season and is, of course, made entirely in England. The range features a mixture of calf, suede, vegetable tanned leather and luggage canvas, and the relaxed style of this collection means that it’s an exciting new addition to the brand.

The Transit line is far more functional and suited to the urban landscape than some of the brand’s other offerings. Light-weight and strong, the bags in this range come fitted with a cage system that’s designed to take the strain of your luggage.

This cage system can be changed in order to keep the bags looking brand new. The range is made from nylon from Limonta, and thanks to the fact that the line is made in England, Bill Amberg is one of the only brands to be working with nylon in the UK.

Key colours for Bill Amberg’s A/W 2013 collections include tan, mustard, black, navy and ruby, which make them the perfect accompaniment to any autumn outfit. Whether you’re after a more relaxed look or looking for something more functional, you’re sure to find something to love this season from Bill Amberg.

You can view Bill Amberg’s Explorer and Transit collections in the online store, prices start from £50. For more information on the brand, visit here.
