DESA is a brand that has been around for over 40 years but not many people will have heard of it. If you haven’t, now is the time to go and check them out.

DESA ChristellaDESA was founded in 1972 and began as a leather manufacturer. Towards the end of the 1970s DESA began expanding and opening its own retail stores. The brand was selected as one of Turkey’s strongest brands in 2005 and it was also chosen for the Turquality Support Program. In 2008 massive changes were made to the brand as part of the vision of the new creative director, Fred Tutino. The collection has gradually evolved into women’s ready-to-wear, knitwear, bags, small leather goods and shoes. Its craftsmen still produce leather goods today for some of the world’s biggest luxury labels.

DESA cocoThis season DESA has launched a gorgeous collection of handbags. The shapes are quite simple but the colours are really autumnal and rich. The Nemesia Locked Leather Bag comes in a rich tan and it could be mistaken for a Mulberry from a distance. The Coco Print Leather Bag is available in a lovely yellow, almost verging on mustard, and the Melia Small Leather Bag could be worn over winter and summer because of the lovely blue shade it comes in.

DESA mini bagIf, however, you prefer your bags to go with any colour outfit, then this Christelle Leather Bag is perfect. It’s huge and perfect for the office or going shopping at the weekend.

DESA NemesiaThese are just a selection of the bags that are available on the DESA site. If you love your handbags, you seriously need to take a look at these; they are beautiful.

Head over to the website now and jot down a few ideas for Father Christmas.
