Field Day 2014 – The Upcoming’s top picks

Since first appearing in 2007, Field Day has steadily grown into one of the biggest musical events on London’s music calendar. Now in its seventh year, the festival sits proudly at the forefront of London’s thriving underground hipster scene. Yet it can also boast early performances from future major players such as Florence & the Machine, Laura Marling & Bat for Lashes back in 2007 and Mumford & Suns in 2009. The sheer variety and constant quality of what’s on offer has always been Field Day’s major draw, with this year’s line-up being no exception with enough names to please the eclectic masses of the capital.

Main acts for 2014 include Metronomy, the legendary Pixies, The Horrors, East India Youth, Sky Ferreira and Jamie XX. Here are our top picks:
