HECK! launches pre-seasoned mince range

Food producer HECK! is introducing a range of pre-seasoned, ready-to-cook minces to Tesco, Asda and Ocado from mid-September 2026, aimed at reducing preparation time for three commonly cooked British dinners: Spaghetti Bolognese, Cottage Pie and Chilli con Carne. The products, sold under the Easy Mince labeling, arrive with the chopping, seasoning and mixing already completed, requiring only the addition of a small number of store-cupboard ingredients.

Easy Chicken Chilli Con Carne Mince combines lean chicken breast and thigh with red pepper, kidney beans, onion, seasoning and a blend of spices. Cooks need to add tinned tomatoes and additional kidney beans. The product is high in protein, low in fat, a source of fibre and gluten-free. It will be stocked by Asda and Ocado.

Easy Beef and Pork Bolognese Mince uses a mixture of beef and pork, and includes lentils, tomato and herbs. Pasta, tinned tomatoes and Parmesan are required to complete the dish. It is high in protein, a source of fibre and gluten-free, and will be available from Tesco, Asda and Ocado.

Easy Beef Cottage Pie Mince combines British beef with peas, carrots, onion, tomato purée and seasoning, and requires beef stock and mashed potato. High in protein and gluten-free, it will be sold exclusively at Tesco.

Each product is sold in 500g packs and priced at £6.

HECK! co-founder Jamie Keeble said: “Mince can be one of the most useful and cost-effective ways to put protein at the heart of a family meal, but shoppers still have to decide what to make with it and then buy, chop and measure everything else. We wanted to do more of that work for them. Our new seasoned mince gives people a proper head start on the meals they already know and love. It removes the hassle without taking away the enjoyment of cooking, so even on the busiest evenings, dinner feels sorted.”

The producer uses lean cuts of meat across its product lines. The Easy Mince launch marks an extension beyond those established formats into a broader ambient of everyday cooking ingredients.
