Free coffees, iced matchas and pastries will be handed out at a one-day pop-up in Bethnal Green next Monday, as British oat milk brand PureOaty takes over Burnt Arches to mark the launch of its new packaging. The PureOaty Kitchen will run from 12pm to 2pm at the east London café, where the first 100 customers will receive be presented with complimentary treats.

PureOaty is produced by Glebe Farm Foods, a family-run company that exclusively uses British oats. Intended for coffee and breakfast through to cooking and baking, the range comprises Original and Enriched, Barista, Organic Barista, Tea Oat Blend and Coconut Oat Drink. The special menu at Burnt Arches has been built around the drinks, and includes coffees, a Mango and Coconut Iced Matcha and a Pistachio Crème Brûlée Danish pastry. Those wanting to stay longer can order from a sit-down menu of three dishes (each for £7) created for the pop-up by Burnt Arches’ head chef Finlay Logan, who trained in Michelin-starred kitchens.

Burnt Arches is among the more recent café openings in the Cambridge Heath area. The Burnt group started as a cosy neighborhood brunch spot in Shepherd’s Bush, offering all-day dining focused on seasonal, produce-led cooking. Their most recent east London outpost offers an expanded space with an in-house bakery serving fresh pastries and an elevated evening menu. Oat milk enthusiasts are encouraged to turn up early for the pop-up while stocks last.
