MAC Cosmetics collaborates with Bao Bao Wan

From celebrities such as Lorde and Rihanna to celebrated brands like Barbie and Hello Kitty, make-up super giant MAC is well known for its noteworthy collaborations. 

Now its latest partnership comes from Chinese jewellery designer Bao Bao Wan, who is well-known within the fashion world. A socialite, artist, style icon and frequent fashion week FROW attendee, the designer is accustomed to a lavish lifestyle, and her jewellery thoroughly reflects this. Drawing inspiration from her Chinese background, Wan has fused her love of luxury with her artistic flow.

Like many of her jewellery pieces, the make-up collection is decadent and glamorous, with gold and green hues to amplify the sense of opulence. While eyeshadows are rich and bronze, nail polishes are reminiscent of rubies and emeralds. “It’s all about gemstones and the colours that I love,” she stated to Woman’s Daily Wear. I’m very much about gold shades. I used my logic and my senses. I didn’t want any crazy colours in the collection, and I wanted it to be practical and to suit every skin tone.”

Featuring five eyeshadows, four lipsticks, three nail polishes and a beauty powder, the collection is limited edition and available in 33 countries for four weeks only.
