Playback: The 90s Party set to launch Bank Holiday weekend

Staged by Bourne & Hollingsworth, the company behind Prohibition and Dark Circus Party, Playback: the 90s Party will see Bank Holiday weekend in the capital off to a flying start.

An east London warehouse will be transformed into the ultimate 90s party venue, with the biggest trends of the era recreated in abundance. Launching on Friday 22nd May, fashion, music and movies are set to be brought back to life in two large party spaces, featuring dance podiums, a Nintendo-inspired games area and a huge screen showcasing classic 90s films and VJ mash-ups.

Special guest headline acts from the decade are assured to keep attendees dancing until the early hours, whilst a hair and make-up stand, channelling some of the most famous looks, will keep everyone looking their best. With party goers guaranteed to work up a thirst, cocktail experts Bourne & Hollingsworth will be creating traditional beverages with an updated twist. Piña colada, anyone?

Guests are encouraged to dress to the theme: queue plenty of lip liner, bindies, slip dresses and bodysuits for the ladies. As for the guys, dare to bring back the bucket hat?

Rebekah Absalom

Playback runs from Friday 22nd-Saturday 23rd May 2015, 8pm-2am. Tickets are priced at £25 and can be purchased here.
