Luxury hotel The Lanesborough is opening their new flagship restaurant Lanesborough Grill on 25th April with chef Shay Cooper, who previously obtained a michelin star at the Bingham and the Goring hotels. The Grill replaces Céleste, which operated on the site for seven years. Both previous restaurants at the hotel – Apsley and Céleste – achieved the coveted award from the red guide shortly after their opening.

Cooper is one of the UK’s most celebrated chefs and in 2020 he was appointed for the reopening of the iconic Notting Hill Restaurant Julie’s, again gaining critical acclaim for his modern and subtly sophisticated take on traditional British cooking.

The Lanesborough is housed in a Regency townhouse of the grandest order and is one of London’s most glamorous five-star hotels. The Grill is located in the richly decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during the day by a domed glass roof while seductively aglow under softly lit chandeliers in the evening, making the perfect new home for this talented chef.
